My personal favorite writing advice comes from Elizabeth Gilbert’s book Big Magic, in which she describes bringing fear (a.k.a. the inner critic/imposter syndrome/perfectionism/you-name-it) along for the ride. “There’s plenty of room in this vehicle for all of us…but understand this: Creativity and I are the only ones who will be making any decisions along the way.”
