RESCHEDULED for Saturday, April 19 at 10am Pacific | Replay Available!
~45ish minutes | Register for Zoom link below
We’ve all heard the advice to “show, don’t tell.” However, there is a time and place for both showing and telling. The key is to know the difference than then make intentional decisions about where to put them.
In this workshop, you will…
understand the difference between “showing” and “telling”
understand various purposes for each
examine passages with examples and their effects on the reader
For those who attend live, there will be an open discussion and Q&A after the presentation! You are invited (but not required) to share your thoughts, questions and ideas in the hot seat and workshop them with me!
This is part of the First Draft Craft Workshop series, where we recognize that while a lot of things can be strengthened in revision, there are some skills and strategies that should be considered in the first draft.
These workshops take place the first Saturday of every month at 10am Pacific, and will last about 45 minutes. I’m happy to stay in the Zoom room until all questions have been answered!
